VIVA LAS VEGAS
On this page we will be posting information about Viva Las Vegas and Covid. We will include the following: Event restrictions, event safety, ticketing, capacities and more. Anything posted here replaces our standard event information.
The next Viva Las Vegas is VLV24 on
September 9th – 12th 2021
UPDATED Aug 18th 2021
Here are the State of Nevada COVID Mitigation Measures for Viva Las Vegas #24. Please note that these are what the measures are now which could be changed at any time as situations change. These measures are mandated by the State. Viva Las Vegas and The Orleans have no control over deciding these measures.
• INSIDE THE HOTEL – Masks must be worn at all times while inside the hotel / casino / VLV events. (except while eating in a restaurant or actually drinking)
• OUTSIDE THE HOTEL – There are no mask mandates for outdoors so masks are not required at the Car show or the Pool Party.
We do recommend wearing a mask at all times indoors and outdoors, especially while in crowded areas.
NEVADA COVID UPDATE
As of July 30th, there is a mask mandate in most of Nevada, including Las Vegas. The mask mandate covers indoor public settings only, so does not include things like the Pool Party or Car Show. Even those who are vaccinated will be required to wear masks. That is the situation now. VLV24 is still 6 weeks away. Anything can happen between now and then. I have mentioned before that Clark County officials are meeting in mid August to review the situation. That is probably when we will know what the situation will be for Viva. I am not going to predict what will happen there as it is out of our control and what happens will depend on whether numbers are up or down. Please know that we will follow local guidelines from the State of Nevada and Clark County.
UPDATE June 19th 2021
The governor of Nevada has declared everything open and free from restrictions but individual businesses can still take precautions. The Orleans has signs stating that anyone vaccinated does not need a mask but unvaccinated people do. That could change by September. Most casinos do not seem to be enforcing this.
At VLV24 we will be giving away Vince Ray designed pin badges that say ‘Vaccinated for Viva’. These are free to anyone who shows their vaccination card or a photo of it on their phone. These are not being used to show who needs to wear a mask. These are purely so that vaccinated people who want to dance with someone else who is vaccinated know who is without asking. Or who they want to chat with. It will not mean that automatically everyone with out a badge has not been vaccinated.
VLV23 TICKETS *UPDATED 6/1/21*
VLV23 TICKETS CANNOT BE ACCEPTED AT VLV24 or VLV25. YOU MUST EXCHANGE THEM IN ADVANCE
You must notify us which one of the following that you want to do:
1) Transfer to new tickets for VLV24 in September 2021.
2) Transfer them to VLV25 in April 2022.
3) Request a refund
This must be done before June 30th 2021. After that date the tickets will be turned into a credit towards you buying tickets in the future. Ticket prices are now higher so the credit would not cover the cost of new tickets. Transferring them before June 30th means you don’t pay the increased price.
We must ensure that VLV events remain within capacity regulations which is why we must know what you want to do. Failure to decide now may mean that if we sell out of tickets , you would not be able to go to that event. We have emailed everyone numerous times, posted it on the website and mailed out postcards so this will be the last communication for this.
If you have already carried over your tickets or have received a refund, please ignore this information as you are already set.
To transfer your ticket to a future event, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
TRANSFERS: Transferring tickets due to travel restrictions will remain free. Transfers for other reasons will be $25 each. Transfers can now not be transferred to VLV26 and beyond.
Please note that once VLV24 sells out, tickets can only be carried over to VLV25. Transfers can no longer be carried over to VLV26
Please bear with us while we deal with everything. Do not hesitate to contact us for any further information at email@example.com
May 2021 – The Governor of Nevada recently announced that vaccinated people will not need to wear masks after June 1st. It has not been announced how this will be controlled or who will be responsible so at this stage everything below still applies.
Right now it is too early for us to know what will be required by the Nevada Department of Health. Viva Las Vegas will run according to their guidelines. Any of the following could be required; wearing of masks, proof of vaccination, proof of negative covid test, limited numbers in venues, social distancing measures, temperature testing, or anything else determined to be required. Viva Las Vegas has no control over what will be required. As things change we will post further information here.
If there is a surge in cases and we have a drastically reduced capacity, we may need to cancel and refund some tickets. In this situation we will cancel and refund the latest ticket purchases.
WHAT IF YOU CANNOT GET TO THE EVENT
If you are unable to get to VLV due to flight cancellations due to covid, government imposed travel restrictions, quarantine requirements or other covid related reasons, we will be able to transfer your tickets to a later event or do a refund on the condition that you request it before VLV24 starts. That enables someone else to take your place. If you do not contact us until after VLV, there are no refunds or transfers.
CANCELLATION OF ACTS
We may have the situation where acts may not be able to perform due to travel restrictions, illness, quarantine etc. In this situation we will replace the act with another act. There are no refunds for non appearance of acts.
WHAT IF VLV GETS CANCELLED
Right now we are sure that VLV will go ahead in September. If for any reason, such as a big surge in covid cases, you will be able to either carry your tickets forward to the next event or get a refund.
